2019 May - Stone Mountain, Georgia

We were in Georgia almost two weeks - We stayed at
Stone Mountain Park campground
as it’s very close to our kids.
We enjoyed our campsite - there were always lots of squirrels waiting for handout!

The first week was primarily spent enjoying time with family
celebrating Graduation and Mother’s Day - great memories!

The 2nd week, we got to explore most of the park and trails
including hiking up to the top of Stone Mountain - what a climb!
So many people climb up the mountain everyday - we met a 75yr old lady who said she hikes up the mountain every day, and when she got to the top she threw up her arms and said "Thank you, Jesus!"  I hope I can climb a mountain like that when I'm 75.  With the hike around the mountain and up the mountain I exceeded my floors climbed at Big Bend!

We rented a tandem kayak and that was a lot of fun.

We made a trip to Athens to meet up with
our college friends Ray and Julie -
They were in our wedding & we were in theirs!

Trip to the Athens Botanical Gardens and a local farm to pick strawberries.

The last couple of days there were starting to feel a lot like summertime....

we really missed those nicer/cooler spring-like days.

Where2Next? Mississippi Gulf Coast - Jeepin the Coast!
