We visited Crystal Bridges in Bentonville - A very cool art/museum, nice walking trails - provided by Walmart! All of the red bud trees and dog woods blooming on the grounds and all around this area are so beautiful!
Highlight was getting to visit our niece and nephew 😍 who are attending University of Arkansas in Fayetteville - we had a fun dinner at Hugo’s (great burgers) then we got a sugar high with ice cream 🍦at Smudgies - where they served a donut ice cream sandwich 🍨🍩
Again there were warnings of bad weather (hail & flooding) the last night we were there, but fortunately it stayed south of us overnight
John decided for his birthday it would be "fun" to drive the coach pulling the Jeep on the windy/steep Arkansas scenic "pig trail" in the rain! I’m sure it would have been a much more beautiful drive if the weather was nice - we will have to drive again on a sunny day.
We were fortunate we didn’t have any really bad weather on the drive to Little Rock... however we were just behind the band of more severe storms and if we drove any further at that point we’d be driving right into/along with the storms, so we decided to stay the night/boon-dock at my brother/sister in law's. Nice we got to see the whole Ark family on our drive down - even if they weren’t all at the same time/place!
The next day on our way to MS - saw lots of downed trees along the way - very thankful to have missed the bad weather and for the time we had to visit with with our Arkansas family.
