2019 April - Tyler State Park, Texas

We were at Tyler State Park this week.  A beautiful park/area that reminds me a lot of South Mississippi with pine trees and flowering dogwoods - Azaleas blooming around town too - just missing the Magnolia trees!

We got to our site the first day and set up, went on a Park hike, grilled dinner and enjoyed the afternoon/evening view of the lake.  At one point in the evening a raccoon snuck up the coach stairs to peek/sneak in.. good thing we had the screen door closed - I would have freaked if a raccoon had walked in the coach with me!

The next day when we got back to our site we noticed a bunch of pine bark/debris all around the door of the coach and we looked up at the large/tall pine tree that was 2ft from our door and now noticed that it was a “dead” tree - ugh!  It was already getting very windy, with lake warnings of high winds overnight, so we decided we should move to another site for the night... didn’t want to be worrying about a tree crashing on us during the night...  doubtful... but didn’t want to chance it!  Since the park ranger office was closed at this point, we found two sites that were marked available, so we picked one and moved there for the night. The next morning, the tree is still standing but has even more bare trunk spots, bark/debris on the ground.  We found out the site we moved to was reserved the next night so we had to move to another site the next morning.  
So we stayed at a different lake site each of the 3 nights we were there - LOL   

Fortunately we moved the coach each time without any issues and John got more practice connecting and disconnecting. 😊.  All part of our fun adventures!
