The
Newmar Kountry Klub International Rally is brand specific for Newmar coaches
only. Like
the FMCA club, this one has lots of Canadians too!
We
had a couple of days before the rally to explore around Syracuse….
We
took a day trip to Skaneateles Lake (pronounced Skinny-Atlas),
for lunch & a walk around the town, then we visited a brewery and a winery

ended our day at a winery on Skaneateles Lake.

was a beautiful day to sit outside & enjoy some wine at
We attended mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse NY. This beautiful Catholic Church was built in 1874, and originally named Saint Mary's Church. In 1904, it was selected to become the new Cathedral and it was renamed The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with some additions/changes made to it.
Then our week of the rally began with ~450 Newmar RVs in attendance (about 1/3 the size of the FMCA rally). Newmar also brought 50+ service technicians plus other vendors had service techs available to service coaches during the rally - we had a couple minor things that were fixed at no charge since they were quick fixes - a nice bonus for us!
In
addition to the daily schedule of seminars, where we learned a lot, the rally
had several nights of entertainment which we enjoyed

Jimmie Travis - comedy and music - also
very funny/entertaining
Scythian - an Irish band that was great - John and I got some dancing in that night (Polka!) and for the rest of the week we were known as “the dancers”... too funny!
Bill Leep - comedic storyteller that was pretty entertaining.
