July 2019 - Big Sky Montana

We joined ~50 other motor coach owners for our first motor coach club event with AIM,  "All Inclusive Motorhome" Club, at Big Sky Resort in Montana
~50 motor coaches boon-docked on this beautiful mountain resort.

It was a lot of fun and we made a lot of new RV friends,
some who live very close to us in Houston.

There were lots of fun events and meals (breakfast, lunches & dinners!) and  beer/wine included every day!

Dinner at the 320 Ranch, complete with a wagon ride (with a little rain - LOL) and dinner right next to the Gallatin River

Lone Peak Expedition -
A trip to the top of Montana's highest scenic overlook at 11,166 ft on Lone Peak Mountain.  First we road a 4 person chair lift 1/2 way up, where we stopped and enjoyed Mimosas/Bloody Mary’s!  Then we rode in trucks made specifically for the Big Sky mountain driving that took us up to the base of the Gondola for the last ride up the mountain - and beautiful views on a beautiful day.
Our Trip up the mountain

Beautiful Views

John and I hiked up one of the mountain trails and later that day they had a nice dinner with a DJ and dancing - With our hike and dancing I got lots of steps that day!
These flowers, called Lupine, reminded me of Texas bluebonnets.

14th Annual Big Sky Brewfest
We love going to Beer festivals and it was great getting to sample so many different local beers right where we were on Big Sky.

The weather was a bit crazy while we were at Big Sky, very nice and cool with beautiful blue skies for the most part, but at least once a day, a storm would roll thru and it would hail for a short time.  This happened while we were at the brewfest, and I captured it on video.

We were supposed to have helicopter rides on Big Sky, but the resort decided they didn’t want to allow that on the mountain, so instead we got a voucher which we used during our visit in Yellowstone.

We had so much fun at this coach club event, we have signed up to attend another one later this year.

Where2Next? Yellowstone!
Where it Sleeted/snowed on us on our drive there.
