My first time ever to zip-line with lots of fun experiences!
First trip/attempt: cancelled!
Our first attempt was with our group from the AIM club. When we road the chair-lift up , it started raining on us, but we thought it would pass by, so we hiked to the first zip-line deck and waited, huddling under a tree for cover at times (notice how our guides were smart enough to bring rain gear!!) Finally it was decided that the rain wouldn’t stop so we hiked back to the chair-lift shack to wait for a Big Sky peak expedition truck to pick us up and drive us down. Glad we had shelter as it hailed while we were there! So instead of zip lining down, we got to ride a truck down what would be the “green” snow slopes!
2nd attempt: Success!?!
The next morning John and I tried again. Unfortunately the rest of the AIM folks had to leave early that day so didn't get a do-over with us. Thankfully the weather was better, mix of sun and clouds. We rode up and started without delay! Yes... I screamed on the first one, but not the rest - it was fun!
Rescue?!?
The last one was a double zip line that John and I did side by side. For some reason I didn’t make it all the way to the end of the line and went backwards a really long way before I stopped.. so there I am hanging in the air, in the middle of the line - I can barely reach to cable to move myself so no way am I pulling myself in! One of the guides had to come out and rescue/pull me in!
All part of the adventure - LOL!
